PurePoint Energy and the Students of Green Light Academy

On Thursday, July 30, 2009, Mr. Tom Wemyss, Business Developer and Vice President of PurePoint Energy LLC, took time to speak with high school students at Green Light Academy at Penfield Lighthouse.

Green Light Academy is a summer program made possible by Beacon Preservation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of lighthouses and their environments for educational, cultural, recreational, and historical preservation purposes.

The students are taught a “green” curriculum that challenges them to explore renewable energy sources including wind, solar, and tidal current. Mr. Wemyss mainly covered wind energy, and drew substantial interest and engagement from the students of Green Light Academy.

PurePoint Energy will be installing two small wind turbines at Penfield Lighthouse in Fairfield, CT. In short, this was a positive experience and a step towards the right direction for PurePoint Energy, Beacon Preservation, and the students of Green Light Academy.

Want to know how to easily produce all of the renewable energy you could ever want right at home?

And you will be able to make your home totally immune from power failures, blackouts, and energy grid failures
so even if everyone else in your area (or even the whole country) loses power, you won’t.
